Job Summary
Manage the execution of Group- wide/Business Unit wide/regional/country/channel/product expansion strategies and establish long- term relationships with potential key clients and customers in line with business objectives
General Responsibilities
Establish long- term relationships with potential clients/customers with the view to enhance business opportunities
Manage research/feasibility studies/market scan, evaluate findings and prepares information for decision- making
Identify, evaluate and manage business opportunities/leads in securing sales pipeline in line with short- and long- term financial goals
Drive and coordinate activities related to Business Development workforce capability and client/customer data management
Manage the execution of Group- wide/Business Unit- wide/regional/country/channel/product expansion strategies to achieve short- and long- term business objectives
Manage the negotiation process. Prepare contracts, providing inputs on proper pricing and contract terms. Identify upselling opportunities and manage contract renegotiations with existing clients
Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
Collaborate with internal stakeholders in identifying upselling opportunities, deal negotiations and finalization of contracts
Manage the improvement of current Business Development processes and cross- functional collaboration to drive effectiveness and minimize redundancy
Functional Skills And Knowledge
Demonstrate business development experience in applying business development principles for medium- to large- sized companies in similar industries
Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross- country/- cultural interactions
Demonstrate business acumen, analytical and business analysis skills
Demonstrate ability to manage global/regional/country level assignments and projects
Demonstrate fluency in English (both written and spoken)
Demonstrate skills in market research and audit
Proven client and customer account management skills
Education
Other qualifications related to the technical know- how work area (e.g. engineering, chemical, medical devices, etc.) will be considered
Degree in Business Studies/Marketing preferred
