Assists in the preparation and review of monthly departmental report (e.g payroll, benefit compensations, disciplinary filing, promotions etc.)
Prepare and review written documents (e.g., daily logs, business letters, memoranda, reports), including proofreading and editing written information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from colleagues and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies and guidelines.
Handle and report any service ‘Glitches’ and report it under the appropriate system, resolve the issue and ensure that corrective actions and service recovery follow ups are action upon in a timely manner.
Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
Maintain strict compliance to all departmental policies, work place safety and security procedures set by the hotel.
Ensure accurate maintenance and strict confidentiality of all property and colleague records and files (e.g., interview documents, reference checks, Drug Free Workplace Policy (DFWP), applicant self- identification forms, department orientation checklist).
Foster positive working environment for all colleagues by performing periodical check- in with team members to ensure satisfaction, maintain strong working relationship with one another.
Monitors and maintain proper filing systems for all documentation (e.g. colleagues personnel profiling) within the department.
Observes and ensures all colleagues activities are in line with the company’s policies and inform the management of any disputes, disciplinary issues and welfare improvement suggestions.
Supervises and train new team members to ensure smooth integration to the team and that high operating standards are maintained. Ensure that hourly colleagues are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job.
Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
Actively listen to and consider the concerns of other colleagues, responding appropriately and effectively. Handle sensitive issues with colleagues and/or guests with tact, respect, diplomacy, and confidentiality. Report any colleague disciplinary issue to higher management.
Assists the HRM in supervising the daily administrative duties of the department which includes but not limited to; assisting to colleagues or external parties’ requests via emails and telephone calls, assist all candidates with application procedures, assisting management in screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
Assists the management in initiating and coordinating colleagues’ activities, recognition programs and team building activities in efforts to promote strong employer branding and employee relations. Effectively disseminate information to colleagues via the appropriate communication channel in a timely manner.
Ensures that all colleagues’ uniform and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures
