SUMMARY:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail- oriented Data Analyst Intern with a strong aptitude for data analysis to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our data while also contributing to data- driven insights for process improvement. You will gain valuable experience in reconciliation processes, learn about financial operations within a Fintech company, and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our business.
JOB DESCRIPTION
General:
Adhere to internal controls and regulatory/process requirements related to reconciliation.
Collaborate with other teams to resolve outstanding items and improve data quality.
Reconciliation (60%):
Maintain detailed records of reconciliation activities and findings.
Compare and verify data from multiple sources, including internal systems and third- party reports.
Identify and investigate discrepancies, ensuring all transactions are properly accounted for.
Resolve reconciliation issues in a timely and accurate manner.
Data Analysis (40%):
Assist in developing and improving reconciliation processes based on data and company workflows.
Develop and generate reports to communicate findings and insights to the stakeholders.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of risk as well as improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
Basic understanding of data analysis principles and reporting.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in data.
A strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and a willingness to learn.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor‘s or Master’s degree in a technology- related field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting or other related field
Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) and data manipulation techniques.
Strong analytical and problem- solving skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
