The Account Executive will play a critical role in managing and maintaining financial records, supporting day- to- day accounting operations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The role requires a detail- oriented professional with knowledge of Vietnamese accounting regulations, tax laws, and proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
Manage and process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
Follow up on outstanding receivables and ensure timely collections.
Coordinate with clients for payment confirmations and reconcile discrepancies.
Financial Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Assist with periodic audits and liaise with auditors as needed.
Tax Compliance
Stay up- to- date on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with Vietnamese tax regulations.
Ensure proper documentation for VAT, CIT, and other applicable taxes.
General Ledger Management
Record and maintain journal entries for general ledger accounts.
Support month- end and year- end closing processes.
Reconcile balance sheets, accounts, and sub- ledger balances regularly.
Cash Flow & Bank Reconciliation
Monitor cash flow to ensure adequate funds for operational needs.
Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in managing petty cash and expense reimbursement.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Support finance team with ad- hoc projects and reporting needs.
Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with other departments (sales, procurement, etc.) to support business operations.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
Communicate effectively with local banks, tax authorities, and vendors.
Requirements
• Good communication skills in both Vietnamese and English / or Mandarin Chinese.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem- solving abilities.
• 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of Vietnamese accounting standards and tax laws.
