Role Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, dedicated Junior Associate Accountant to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering full- cycle accounting, payroll, and tax- compliance services to our clients while overseeing internal accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
External Accounting Services (80 %)
Compliance Advice & Record- Keeping: Advise clients on tax- compliant treatment of every transaction. Maintain complete accounting records (GL, AP/AR, fixed- asset register, bank reconciliations).
Set up a new accountant dossier for the Client’s new company (bank account, initial tax registration, e- invoice, software)
Process Improvement & Documentation: Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, train client staff on basic internal controls and keep well- organised digital working papers. Contribute to template standardisation, automation initiatives and SOP updates.
Financial Statements & Workflow Design: Produce monthly, quarterly and annual trial balance, P&L, balance sheet and cash- flow statement. Design or optimise each client’s chart of accounts and accounting workflows.
E- invoicing & Source Documents: Draft and issue legitimate e- invoices daily; receive, review and record all client source documents and input invoices.
Payroll Services: Calculate payroll; generate payslips; process social- insurance and trade- union filings; Prepare annual PIT finalisation dossiers and employee tax- code / insurance registrations.
Tax Reporting & Representation: Prepare, provide insight on and e- file VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT, business- licence tax and other compliance returns (employment, FDI). Monitor filing calendars, secure approvals and submit on time. Represent clients in tax queries, desk audits, year- end inspections, and perform tax health- checks or pre- audits when requested.
Internal Accounting & Reporting (20 %)
Invoicing & Payments: Draft, issue and manage the firm’s sales invoices and payment dossiers; forecast cash needs, schedule supplier and tax payments, manage foreign- currency conversions and control office costs.
Bookkeeping & Reconciliations: Record the firm’s daily transactions (GL, AP, AR, FA, cash/bank) and reconcile bank and petty- cash balances.
Payroll & HR Costing: Run internal payroll, ensuring accurate PIT and SIHI contributions and timely e- banking payments; maintain confidential payroll files and related accruals.
Management & Tax Reporting: Prepare monthly P&L, balance- sheet and cash- flow analyses for partners; file the firm’s VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT and labour reports on time.
Requirements / Qualifications:
At least 2 years of hands- on experience in full- cycle accounting, tax with a proven track record of strict legal compliance.
Good English is a plus, but not mandatory.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong academic record.
Meticulous, highly responsible, and fully committed to regulatory accuracy; trusted to represent the company during tax audits.
ACCA, CPA or similar certification (completed or in progress) is preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of Vietnamese accounting and tax regulations, and solid exposure and understanding of international reporting.
Willing to travel at the request of the firm or Client.
Mastery of essential work tools: accounting software; tax token, e- invoicing platforms; able to troubleshoot issues swiftly and handle all core bookkeeping tasks independently.
Interview Process
Two rounds conducted in a hybrid format:
First Round – Online: Technical interview via video call.
Final Round – Offline: Meeting with Our Team in District 7, HCMC Office.
