General Accountant

· Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
· Secure financial information by completing data base backups.
· Research, analyses and interpret new tax legislation
· Maintain a daily log of specific package charges.
· Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account inform
· Prepare monthly bank account reconciliation.
· Summarizes current financial status.
· Assist internal and external auditors
· Monitor the budget, budget backlog, Company&039;s VAT reimbursement
· Check weekly record of cash overages and shortages of General Cashier.
· Assist the Chief Accountant with projects and reports.
· Monitor and cross- check the work of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Purchasing.
· Close all books by the 5th working day of the subsequent month.
· Prepare and recommend policies and procedures
· Prepare journal entries for closing the books on a monthly basis.
· Raise relevant taxation documentation for new investments / projects
· Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
· Provide guidance to senior management on tax related matters
· Check authorized Petty Cash/payment Vouchers and submit for reimbursement weekly

· Accounting experience essential (in a similar role and industry preferable)
· Enjoys “hands on” work

· Minimum 3 years working experience
· Preferable experience working Tourism industry
· Flexibility to work overtime
· Preferable experience working Tourism industry
· Good written and spoken English
· Good communication, analytical and organizational skills
· Knowledge of Accounting/Finance
· Critical thinking skills
· Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (particularly MS Excel)
· Tertiary studies in accounting, finance or economics
· Minimum 3 years working experience
· Passion for accuracy and attention to detail.
· Ability to work under pressure
