The Business Development Manager is the key driver of business strategy and execution within the team, overseeing both Business Development and Operations. This role is responsible for developing and implementing policies, pricing strategies, distribution channels, and product roadmaps. The Manager is the primary point of contact for external partners, leading market research, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring the seamless execution of business initiatives across the organization.
What you will do
Business Development & Partnerships:
Partnership Management:
Establish and manage strategic partnerships, coordinating sales programs and promotions with key partners.
Explore market trends to identify new business opportunities and expand existing partnerships.
Negotiate contracts, evaluate financial viability, and manage resource planning for new initiatives.
Collaborate with Protech on product development and design, and with Marketing for product promotion.
Market Insight & Research:
Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities.
Analyze internal and market data, collaborating with MBI/CI to conduct customer research and drive data- informed decision- making.
Business Operations:
Operational Execution:
Oversee the implementation of business ideas and initiatives, including payment systems, process improvements, promotions, and product operations.
Act as the primary liaison with other internal teams, including OTA (protech) and other MoMo departments, to ensure alignment and successful execution.
Update and manage changes related to pricing, inventory from suppliers, and operational processes.
Project Management:
Lead the management of large- scale projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
Coordinate the integration of new merchants and features, ensuring smooth implementation and operational readiness.
Service Desk Monitoring:
Ensure continuous operational functionality by managing the service desk, organizing shifts, and maintaining system uptime.
Customer Satisfaction:
Oversee customer service activities, ensuring high- quality support through various channels, including in- app, out- app, and working with TA/CS team to ensure high quality of CSAT..
Working with partners, supplier and internal team including CEE/CS to address customer inquiries, resolve service issues, and manage post- sale support to enhance customer satisfaction.
Pricing:
Pricing Strategy:
Develop and implement pricing policies tailored to different sales channels, including retail, corporate, and agency clients.
Optimize ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) and revenue per transaction across all customer segments.
Monitor market pricing trends and adjust strategies to stay competitive.
Competitive Pricing Analysis:
Utilize and develop tools for market price monitoring.
Regularly track competitor pricing to inform strategic pricing decisions.
Collaboration:
Internal Collaboration:
Work closely with Growth, Protech, TA, and other teams to implement business strategies, promotional programs, and product roadmaps.
Share market insights with relevant teams to guide competitive pricing and strategic planning.
External Collaboration:
Coordinate with external teams, including legal, finance, customer success, and marketing, to ensure smooth business operations and partner communications.
What you will need
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Development, preferably in the Travel or Hospitality industry.
Strong negotiation, project management, and strategic planning skills.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and relationship- building abilities.
Adaptability to market changes and a proactive approach to problem- solving.
