Commercial Planning & Performance Executive

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose:
The Commercial Planning & Pricing Executive plays a keyrole in supporting pricing governance, sales planning, forecasting, reporting,and commercial performance analysis. The role requires strong analyticalcapability, data handling skills, and the ability to translate business datainto actionable insights to drive revenue growth and margin improvement acrossB2B channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Management
Analyze pricing gaps and margin impact
Review and analyze monthly pricing by customer and channel
manage pricing exceptions
Coordinate with Sales and Finance to
Support pricing setup for New Product Development (NPD)
Monitor compliance with approved price levels and pricing policies
Sales Planning & Performance Tracking
Provide analytical insights and improvement recommendations
Support development of sales plans by team and channel
Track baseline, new SKU, new account, and productivity metrics
Monitor key KPIs including growth, GP performance, and planning accuracy
Conduct variance analysis (Target vs. Actual vs. Forecast)
Reporting & Business Analysis
Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports (Power BI / Excel)
Build performance tracking models for revenue, margin, and incentive
Extract and manipulate data from ERP/CRM systems
Conduct deep- dive analysis on customer performance, product mix, pricing effectiveness, and ROI of trade investments
Support management review presentations with structured analysis
Demand Forecasting
Consolidate demand forecasts from Sales teams
Support periodic forecast adjustments
Validate assumptions and identify anomalies
Monitor forecast accuracy and perform root cause analysis
Strategic Planning Support
Prepare performance analysis for management review
Conduct portfolio analysis (Hero / Volume Win / Attack / Drop)
Assist in target allocation and tracking
Support AOP planning by channel and team
Incentive Calculation (Support)
Cross- check data accuracy with Finance
Support sales incentive calculation and payout validation
Ensure timely and accurate reporting
Assist in evaluating incentive scheme effectiveness
Process & System Improvement
Maintain data accuracy across master data (Customer, SKU, Pricing)
Contribute to building centralized reporting and data warehouse initiatives
Support enhancement of pricing and sales planning processes
Collaborate with IT to improve data structure and reporting automation
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related fields
Experience
1–3 years of experience in Commercial Planning, Sales Analyst, Pricing, Business Analyst, RGM, or FP&A roles
Experience in FMCG or B2B distribution is preferred
Technical Skills:
Experience working with ERP/CRM systems
Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas, data modeling)
Understanding of data structures and business reporting logic
Basic to intermediate SQL (data extraction, joins, aggregation queries)
Strong Power BI skills (dashboard building, DAX, data modeling)
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem- solving mindset
Proactive and able to work under pressure
Business- oriented thinking (not only reporting but insight- driven)
Good communication skills to present data clearly
Detail- oriented and highly accurate with numbers
