Job Overview
• Lead the introduction, operation, and continuous improvement of logistics systems such as WMS/TMS.
• Oversee and optimize all logistics operations, including warehouse, distribution, and inventory management, ensuring a stable supply chain.
• Achieve cost reduction, quality improvement, and on- time delivery to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Manage the Vietnamese logistics team and act as a bridge between local staff and Japanese management.
Main Responsibilities
Warehouse Management
• Supervise and train warehouse staff (supervisors, pickers, labelers, inspectors, etc.).
• Ensure accurate inbound/outbound and inventory control (FIFO/FEFO, expiry dates, temperature management, etc.)
• Perform daily and monthly stock variance checks, prepare inventory reports, and analyze discrepancies.
• Promote continuous improvement in operational efficiency, safety, and storage quality.
Transportation & Delivery
• Negotiate contracts and costs with 3PL companies and conduct monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as delivery time, cost, incidents, and customer complaints.
• Oversee delivery documentation and control processes, including cash- on- delivery (COD) handling.
• Plan and manage delivery schedules (vehicles, drivers, and routes).
System Operation & Process Improvement
• Ensure data consistency by collaborating with sales, accounting, and IT departments.
• Implement, operate, and improve logistics systems such as WMS/TMS and ERP.
• Prepare regular logistics KPI reports (on- time delivery, cost ratio, productivity, etc.).
• Propose and execute logistics cost reduction initiatives (fuel efficiency, route optimization, load factor improvement, etc.).
People Management
• Manage warehouse and delivery teams (approx. 70 members).
• Manage attendance, labor issues, and maintain team motivation.
• Promote continuous improvement and the PDCA cycle within the team.
• Oversee training, safety management, and performance evaluation (KPI/results- based).
