Product Development Specialist (Fashion)

Working time: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday – Saturday Morning).
Headcounts: 01;
Reporting to: Brand Manager;
Location: 555 3/2 Street, 8 Ward, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City;
Responsibilities:
Fabric & Trims Development:

Provide regular updates and reports to the product development team and management;
Ensure that our materials meet regulatory and safety standards;
Collaborate with product development teams to source and develop materials that meet the performance, aesthetics and sustainability goals of our products;
Negotiate prices (including surcharges), lead times and minimum order quantities with suppliers.
Ensure that all material product cards in the PLM system are up to date and accurate;

Quality Assurance & Testing:

Conduct and coordinate rigorous testing and evaluation of fabrics and trims to ensure they meet our standards, including data from suppliers and 3rd- party testing labs;
Work with quality assurance teams to ensure consistent material quality in production;
Develop and implement testing protocols to assess material performance under various conditions;
Keep detailed records of test results;
Review fabric shipment samples.

Sustainability & New Technology Initiatives:

Establish and maintain relationships with key material suppliers.
Other;
Contribute to sustainability initiatives and other science- driven projects;
Ensure environment impact reduction through material innovation/ choices;
Identify opportunities to incorporate sustainable materials and practices into product development;
Ensure sustainability data for materials are up to date and accurate in the PLM system;

Excellent analytical and problem- solving abilities with attention to details;
Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g Microsoft Office, PLD systems);
Minimum of 04 years of experience in fabric and trims development within Casual and/or Sportswear, familiar with technical textile industry, preferable within apparel;
Business- level proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross- functional teams;
Experienced with sustainable materials and practices in the apparel industry;
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Material Science or a related field;
Good project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
Strong knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, material properties, testing methods, and fabric construction;
