Job Purpose
The job holder is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and work of the product development team by serving as the voice of the customer. The job holder has responsibilities across product management (solution design, solution development, testing, marketing, evaluation and refinements), business analysis and user experience to deliver on the customer value proposition within the business. The job holder owns the product vision and roadmap of deliverables with accompanying profit and loss accountability.
Key Accountabilities (1)
Product Development and Delivery Roadmap
- Collaborate with designers for best in class front- end user journeys, wire- frames and overall user experience.
- Solve product- related problems and complete trade- off analysis to stay on track with committed deliverables.
- Take charge of defining solution epics, user stories and specific business acceptance criteria with cross- functional development team.
- Oversee tasks related to product launches and co- create high impact marketing plans for go- to- market implementation.
- Draft key objectives and results as well as apply data related to the product for business decisions.
- Analyze new technology opportunities and other new market trends.
- Drive end- to- end implementation of business requirements, add security and business contingency requirements in collaboration with security experts.
- Take accountability for business efficiency, profit and loss for the product/solution offerings.
- Define the product vision and identify growth opportunities to deliver on the customer value proposition.
- Draw conclusions from customer insights to develop innovative product feature requirements and enhancements.
Key Accountabilities (2)
Project Management
- Lead the Agile/Scrum product development teams, set, prioritize and evaluate product features backlog.
- Provide vision and direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements.
- Lead product planning release plans and set the expectation for the delivery of new functionalities.
- Adopt and embrace Agile/Scrum practices during the product development process/life cycle.
- Resolve people problems and project roadblocks, conduct post mortem and root cause analysis to improve Agile/Scrum practices for maximum productivity.
- Strengthen understanding of Agile practices and Lean Startup.
- Strengthen the Agile working rhythm (daily stand- ups, iteration, sprint reviews and retrospectives)
Stakeholder Management
- Drive alignment between product management and senior management teams to create a product that fits the company portfolio.
- Represent the product development team with stakeholders and customers / users, as required.
- Bridge gap beween stakeholders and delivery team with support of a scrum master.
- Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
Key Accountabilities (3)
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Communicate team and individual KRAs/ KPIs, goals, action plan, expectations and results to team members
- Act as a role model and promote corporate culture at sub- function level
- Responsible for developing talents within the team
- Enable team member’s professional and personal development through capability assessment, training, coaching & feedback, etc.
- Manage team performance & provide feedback regularly (following the annual performance management cycle);
- Understand & communicate relevant HR offerings to team members.
- Attract, onboard and retain the right talents for a high- performing team
- Motivate and recognize team members’ contributions towards the team’s shared goals
