Job Purpose:
The Senior AWS Partner Specialist is responsible for driving strategic engagement with AWS, managing Partner Program requirements, and enabling funding opportunities. The role ensures that the organization meets AWS program eligibility by developing competencies, validating services, and coordinating program submissions to accelerate business growth in cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Funding & NSO Management
Monitor and track Funding program status and outcomes to optimize resource allocation.
Prepare and submit New Service Opportunity (NSO) materials in alignment with AWS standards, keeping information high- level but impactful.
Coordinate AWS Funding requests, ensuring eligibility criteria are fully met and requests are accurately documented.
Competency & Program Development:
Develop and maintain required AWS Competency Programs (e.g., industry- specific, workload- based) to qualify for Funding and other partner benefits.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather case studies, customer success stories, and technical evidence to support program applications.
Ensure technical capabilities and service offerings meet AWS validation standards.
Partner Program Compliance & Reporting:
Maintain compliance with AWS Partner Program requirements, including competencies, service validations, and reporting obligations.
Provide regular updates to leadership on program eligibility, progress, and strategic recommendations.
Identify gaps in current competencies or technical capabilities and propose improvement plans.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory:
Support business development activities by providing insights into AWS program incentives and strategic advantages.
Serve as a strategic advisor to internal business units on AWS Partner Program opportunities, funding eligibility, and competency requirements.
Liaise with AWS partner managers and technical teams to ensure alignment with cloud initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field.
Proven track record in managing NSO/Funding requests and competency certifications.
Analytical mindset with ability to evaluate eligibility, program compliance, and ROI.
Deep understanding of AWS Partner Network (APN), Funding programs, and competency frameworks.
3+ years of experience in cloud partner management, strategic alliances, or AWS partner programs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate cross- functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Partner Network (APN) Certifications or AWS technical certifications.
Experience in cloud business development or partner enablement.
Familiarity with AWS MAP (Migration Acceleration Program), PSF (Proof- of- Concept Support Fund), or related funding programs.
