Senior Backend Engineer Golang

As a senior engineer, you will be a key contributor to our backend foundation, collaborating closely with cross- functional teams to deliver high- quality, secure, and scalable solutions that support a wide range of use cases.
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power various products at Qualgo. You will work on complex technical challenges related to system architecture, performance, scalability, and real- time data processing.

Key Responsibilities

Build APIs and microservices to support data workflows and system components.
Write high- quality, well- tested, and maintainable code (primarily in Go, potentially with some Java or Python).
Design and maintain scalable, high- performance backend services.

Work with technologies like WebSockets, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and streaming platforms
Design and implement systems for real- time data processing and event handling.

Work with various data storage technologies (SQL, NoSQL, data warehouses).
Collaborate with data engineers to integrate backend services with data pipelines.

Optimize system performance for speed, scalability, and cost- effectiveness.
Design and implement systems that can handle high volumes of data and traffic.
Identify and address performance bottlenecks.

Implement secure coding practices and work closely with the security team to ensure the security of the platform.

Work effectively in a cross- functional team, collaborating with product managers, designers, Front- end engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders.
Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering best practices.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
Experience with real- time communication technologies (WebSockets) is a plus.
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Strong experience with Go
Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
Experience with building and deploying scalable, distributed systems.
Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) or streaming platforms.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts.
Passion for building high- quality, scalable, and secure systems.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Fluency in English is a plus
Excellent problem- solving and analytical abilities.
