JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for implementing and coordinating a wide range of L&D initiatives, including orientation, soft skills, and functional development programs. This role ensures smooth execution of training activities, supports competency development across the organization, and provides expertise in both program administration and facilitation. Working closely with Heads of Departments and external vendors, this position plays a key role in enhancing employee capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
Training Needs & Planning
- Collect and analyze training needs in collaboration with HODs and HRBP to identify gaps in soft skills and general training.
- Contribute to developing and updating the annual training plan and training catalog aligned with business priorities, ensuring accessible learning options for employees and managers.
Program Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinate with internal and external trainers/vendors to ensure smooth and effective program execution.
- Coordinate and deliver the Orientation Program for new hires, including content updates and cross- functional trainer engagement.
- Support design, implementation, and facilitation of soft skills and professional development programs, ensuring relevance and quality.
- Administer learning tools and platforms (e.g., DISC, e- learning, external assessments).
Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements to enhance the impact of L&D initiatives on employee performance and engagement.
- Collect participant feedback, track training data, and prepare reports on program effectiveness.
Stakeholder & Project Involvement
- Participate in and support special L&D projects and cross- functional initiatives as assigned.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with departments to encourage active participation in training programs.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 3- 4 years of experience in Learning & Development, with exposure to orientation, soft skills, and training coordination.
Knowledge
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
Functional Skills
Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
Other Abilities
- Strong understanding of performance management and L&D processes and procedures
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical and problem- solving skills.
- Possesses a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross- functional teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
*Working Location: Saigon High Tech Park (SHTP)- Thu Duc- HCMC. Shuttle buses from HCM, Binh Duong and Dong Nai are available.
