Academic/ professional qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of the agriculture sector and the socio- economic development issues
• Other relevant professional qualifications in line with areas of specialisation
• Master&039;s level degree (or higher) in Agriculture/Agri Business/Economics/Sociology or related fields from a reputed institute
Experience:
• Cambodian resident or familiarity with the Cambodia market is preferred.
• Experience in the implementation of government/ related projects in the fields of agriculture, understanding of policy and program assessment,
• Experience in policy design, implementation support, monitoring, and evaluation of the government initiatives is preferred.
• Experience in managing relationships with various stakeholders, including donor agencies, ministries, state government, private sector players, and think- tanks, is preferred.
• At least 10- 15 years’ experience in agriculture and allied sector consulting, research, or other relevant areas
Skills and competencies:
• Excellent analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, and proven problem- solving skills
• Ability to build client relationships and develop business opportunities
• Exceptional report structuring and storyboarding skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner, both written and oral

Responsibilities:
The incumbent&039;s key responsibilities will be to actively contribute to business development. This includes proactive searches for suitable consulting opportunities in the agri and allied sectors in Southeast Asia and the Pacific region (such as Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tuvalu, and Palau), identifying the right opportunities, developing a concept note of a potential intervention, and contributing significantly to the proposal development. This will require a clear understanding of the ‘topic’ through primary and secondary research, to develop high- quality proposals, reports, notes, etc., as needed.
Additionally, the incumbent will participate in the implementation/ execution of ongoing projects from time to time, as and when required. The project execution will include research, studies, field visits, and consultations with stakeholders across multiple countries. It will require collaboration with cross- domain teams (financial inclusion, gender, health and nutrition, etc.) to deliver the project&039;s quality output.
LOE:
• 60% time on business development (BD) activities such as opportunity search/ exploring, development of concept note, proposal writing,
understanding thematic areas, secondary/ primary research etc.
• 30% project execution in collaboration with the project implementation team, including cross- domain work
• 5% time in learning newer areas/ knowledge management, blog, marketing collaterals, etc.
• 5% time in networking/conferences, client relationship management, etc.
