Primary Purpose of Position:
Growth and talent development of associates located in remote global offices.
Support optimizing Private Brand GMV, profit and share by aligning markets’ strategies with EDLP/C mindset.
Train and educate suppliers on Walmart process and procedures.
Facilitate timely placements to suppliers in line with the vendor matrix and sourcing strategy.
Department oversight of operational issues with responsibility for timely execution of orders.
Support the long term strategic direction for business & ensure trade benefits are captured for cost savings.
Lead the responsible sourcing opportunities to ensure suppliers/ factories capability and WM process & protocols are maintained.
Departmental input on global strategy.
Develop, execute and maintain comprehensive sourcing strategies and supplier matrix for global Private Brand Sourcing in Entertainment categories by collaborating with cross- functional business partners (merchant, product development, merchant operations, quality, planning management, compliance, logistics teams and other departments) to reach goals & objectives.
Data analysis and compilation of reports.
Manage the demand and execution side of sourcing to ensure timely execution of orders.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Collaborate cross functionally with the various business partners and suppliers to understand the various business needs and priorities and develop optimal solutions to support.
Facilitate price negotiations and cost engineering opportunities based on an in- depth understanding of industry dynamics, product and components.
Maintain a close relationship with suppliers/ factories, communicating changes in policy or process in a timely manner.
Responsible Sourcing and Compliance to ensure factory- base is fully compliant with all Walmart requirements.
Know and understand suppliers/factories and their capabilities, capacity and performance. Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships for a sustainable business growth with proactive mindset. Identify, develop, and maintain supplier relationships that meet company financial, compliance, and sustainability standards. Assess and develop supplier production, distribution, and technological capabilities to ensure adequate supply, newness and innovation. Conduct quarterly performance reviews with suppliers. Manage and resolve supplier issues. Applies digitalization and new ways of working during sourcing activities.
Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
Manage the seasonal quotation process and component costing (CCS). Effectively negotiate product and price and determine creative alternatives to achieve objectives.
Demonstrate awareness of global trade and political developments for assigned geographies and incorporate into sourcing proposals for Surety of Supply. Activate new Country of Origins for Private Brands and leverage between Walmart markets. Understand buying objectives and specification, components, component suppliers (upstreaming), production, construction and communicate with suppliers.
Contribute and align with the category operations, global Sourcing & Cross Functional teams on sourcing/executional strategy and direction.
Work closely with Suppliers to ensure the timely settlement of outstanding claims/DRR.
Measure supplier performance, capability and capacity in order to make appropriate sourcing decisions. Collect market intelligence and keep information up to date, meeting with them on a regular basis to address concerns.
Facilitate production commitments with suppliers, ensuring objectives of product quality, delivery and cost are met or exceeded.
Manage the sourcing of product globally.
Skills Requirements:
Able to manage large amounts of data. Establish efficient processes in order to make sound decisions.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop, motivate, and retain high- performing teams
Preferred in- depth knowledge of relevant industries, suppliers and factories. Able to understand and differentiate between various manufacturers.
Detailed knowledge and use of component costing.
Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing specific product categories (preferably in Consumer Electronics Industry).
Proven track record of successfully managing and developing global sourcing teams and driving results in a fast- paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
Team player with high level of belonging, diversity, inclusion and equity mindset.
Strong analytical and problem- solving skills, with an ability to make data- driven decisions and manage risk effectively to achieve product and business objectives.

Bachelor&039;s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
A technical understanding of specification, components, component suppliers and construction. Good production knowledge.
