Software Tester - Odoo

Job Description:
We are looking for a detail- oriented Software Tester with experience in testing software products, including CRM, Customer Support, and Sale Order modules on the Odoo platform. As a tester, you will ensure the functionality, stability, and usability of our software product, contributing to high- quality standards that meet both business requirements and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate test reports, analyze results, and provide insights to help improve the testing process.
Validate the business workflows, integrations, and customizations within Odoo applications.
Conduct functional, regression, system, and integration testing to identify software issues and ensure quality.
Log, track, and document defects, and coordinate with developers for resolution.
Test end- to- end workflows, including various third- party integrations, APIs, and custom modules within the Odoo ecosystem.
Participate in requirement review meetings to gain a thorough understanding of the product features.
Collaborate with development, QA, and product management teams to understand requirements and create detailed test cases.
Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and assist in resolving production issues as required.
Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Odoo modules (CRM, Customer Support, Sale Order…).

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of [1- 3 years for Junior/Mid- level or 5+ years for Senior- level] experience in software testing, preferably on the Odoo platform.
Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., JIRA) and defect tracking.
Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework) is a plus.
Hands- on experience with Odoo testing, including CRM, Customer Support, and Sale Order modules.

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail with a passion for delivering high- quality products.
Excellent analytical, problem- solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation.
Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are an added advantage.
Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
Knowledge of testing Odoo’s community and enterprise modules.
