ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Live Payments is seeking a talented, experienced Data Analyst to join our growing/multi- national team. The Data Analyst will take care of the quantity and quality of product services between the technical team and other departments and maintain the company standards of timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Core duties include:
• Gather, understand, and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.
• Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution.
• Collecting data from various sources. Streamlining data collection methods to create automated and easy- to- use routines.
• Preparing reports for organisational leadership to use in a business setting.
• Interpreting data trends and patterns as they relate to the organisation.
• Training end- users on new reports and dashboards.
• Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
• Proactively analyse data to answer critical questions for stakeholders, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborating with other team members, including engineers and programmers, to determine areas of improvement in relation to data.
• Analyse collected data and put it into a format others can easily interpret.
• Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
KEY SKILLS
• Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualisation.
• Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
• Strong SQL or Excel skills, with an aptitude for learning other analytics tools.
• Excellent English skills encompassing writing, reading, speaking, and listening.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc).
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), and programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, and analyse significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• High- level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large- scale databases.
• Strong knowledge of business intelligence platforms, developing and updating BI reports, and communicating actionable insights to improve corporate decision- making.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and teams (both internal and external).
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
• Ability to translate business requirements into non- technical, lay terms.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• IELTS 6.0 or equivalent would be beneficial.
• University Degree Qualified in a Tech or Business field.
• 3- 4 years of data analysis experience.
• Experience working in the payments and financial services industries.
