The duties and responsibilities of HR Officer
include but is not limited to:
Manage employee databases and benefits in Human Resource Information system in the field of responsibility;
Together with other HR staff, support Head of Department to formulate all HR regulations, policies and procedures;
Recommend strategies to motivate employees;
Builds relationships with specialists and the VGU HR Community to create learning opportunities and share best practices;
Consult for Head of Department about wages, advancement, discipline, reward and benefits, allowances and other policies to encourage innovation and efficiency in the work; Support organization wide initiatives to improve the wellbeing and engagement of teams and individuals, as well as working with local management teams to identify local issues requiring bespoke support or intervention;
Coordinate with the VGU’s units to formulate plans on development, training of lecturers, researchers, specialized staff;
Manage the delivery of training and development programs;
Coordinate with RMD, PBO to implement procedures of sending lecturers, public servants, officers for studying, business trips, visits inside and outside Vietnam, to extend duration of study and business, to receive officers coming home from abroad;
Support in developing organizational guidelines and procedures;
Conduct evaluation survey after the training courses.
Identify training and development needs of staff through job analysis, employee survey and proposals;
Together with Facility team, ensures that all safety and loss control standards (Safety Health and Environmental) are adhered to;
Keep up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to seminars and attending relevant courses;
Coordinate with other units in the VGU to deploy training plan for VGU’s staff upon the positions;
Design and implement internal and external training programs;
Support the management of dossiers of VGU’s lecturers and staff and staff database;
Involve in organization of VGU’s official events and take care of HR activities as teambuilding, annual health check, teacher’s day…;
Undertakes any other related duties as directed by the supervisor and the Presidential Board for the advancement of the VGU objectives;
Ensures core HR processes (e.g. performance, talent reviews, compensation, talent acquisition, etc.) are clearly communicated and understood by managers and supervisors within the VGU units;
Support recruitment officer to introduce new staff; Conducts timely induction of all new employees;
