About SEA Founders:
SEA Founders is a curated community for established Series A- B tech founders in South East Asia! Our mission is to create Southeast Asia&039;s premier open community for tech leaders, where founders can exchange ideas, find inspiration, and broaden their business with a supportive network.
Our membership program features a quarterly Masterclass Series, Local Forums, and the annual retreat – Founder&039;s Coaching Pause.
The Opportunity:
SEA Founders is looking for its next leader! As a non- profit, SEA Founders has been running the last 6 years with the help of founder volunteers and a small internal execution team. We’re now taking the organization to the next level, and looking for a Managing Director with vision to drive SEA Founders forward.
Responsibilities of the Managing Director include:
Strategy & Growth
Define marketing and communication strategy to increase awareness and grow community
Define and execute strategy for membership growth and footprint in SEA
Design and execute new programs/services based on needs of founder community
Build strategic partnerships to provide resources for founders and grow community
Membership & Programs
Lead design and execution of different programs
Define strategy to optimize programs and events, iterate on existing programs for constant improvement
Engage with founders in the community to understand their challenges and needs
Oversee quality of local forums and other events
Manage and engage with community of founders to promote participation and value creation among members
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 5 years previous work experience
Fluency in English is required, fluency in another SEA language is a plus
Ability to work remotely from SEA
Ability to thrive in a team and also work independently
Experience managing communities and events
Leadership and experience managing multidisciplinary teams
Strong project management skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong focus on problem- solving with creative solutions
Interest in the startup environment and building a network of founders
