Purchasing Manager

Define, measure, and manage the quality, delivery, and price performance of assigned suppliers.
Comply information and records in preparation for preparing purchase orders and change notices; verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.
Stay abreast of new development relative to materials and the supplier base; make recommendations to reduce acquired cost, inventory level, and lead times.
Negotiate pricing, delivery, and other applicable contract terms;
Contact, advise, and assist other departments with respect to specifications, substitutions, delivery dates, and sources of supply.
Resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices, delivery dates, delays, damages, and rejections.
Monitor open purchase orders to ensure conformance with delivery request.
Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and lead- times.
Maintain purchasing databases and record as required by responsibilities within scope.
Adhere to internal controls established for the department;
