Establish best practices for writing maintainable, testable code for our e- commerce apps
Manage app versioning, source control, and code reviews
Debug and troubleshoot issues in production environments for apps after Shopify app store release
Work closely with frontend developers to integrate backend and frontend systems for our Shopify apps
Automate and streamline development and deployment processes for our agile app development lifecycle
Lead a team of backend developers working on microservices and distributed systems for Shopify apps
Monitor and improve backend performance, scalability, and reliability of our Shopify apps
Design, build, and optimize highly scalable backend architecture and infrastructure to support high traffic Shopify stores
Mentor junior developers and conduct technical training when needed

Ability to design complex data models and databases for e- commerce apps
Experience with large- scale e- commerce projects is a plus.
Strong systems thinking and problem solving skills
Experience with .net is a plus.
Understanding of DevOps tools like Docker, AWS, Jenkins
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience managing and mentoring other developers
5+ years of experience in backend development and team leadership roles, ideally for e- commerce apps
Expertise in technologies like Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ
Knowledge of optimizing backend performance and scaling architectures for Shopify stores
Bachelor&039;s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with microservices, event streaming, and distributed systems for high traffic apps
