JOB PURPOSE
The main purpose of this position is to monitor & oversee the Sales & Marketing Unit daily processes and to look for market opportunities and business potentials locally and globally.
The job contributes towards increasing the company profit in addition to improving agents/customers acquisition and agents’/customers’ retention, managing resources in optimal way while reducing operational costs.
PRINCIPAL JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers. Understand their evolving needs, identify upsell opportunities, and provide tailored solutions to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
Industry Networking: Build a strong network within the logistics industry. Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand your knowledge, stay updated on industry trends, and establish new business relationships.
Customized Freight Solutions: Utilize your expertise in logistics to design and implement bespoke freight solutions for clients. Understand their specific requirements, assess feasibility, and develop innovative and cost- effective solutions to meet their needs.
Revenue Maximization: Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue impact. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations and finance, to leverage internal resources effectively and optimize sales opportunities.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the sales team. Set targets, establish sales goals, and motivate the team to achieve and exceed targets. Foster a high- performance culture and provide coaching and guidance to team members.
Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to understand the logistics industry, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Identify growth opportunities and develop sales strategies accordingly.
Proposal Development: Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and investment proposals. Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to create compelling and persuasive presentations to potential clients.
HSSE & GROUP COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
You have the responsibility to ensure compliance with the GAC Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Policy and all the requirements stated in the existing HSSE documentation system, respecting industrial and personal safety and environmental precautions, whereas you and employees always consider the safety of oneself and others. It is your duty to ensure that all employees understand that they have the responsibility and authority to stop any works and report when an unsafe condition or act could result in an undesirable HSSE event.
In addition, you shall ensure compliance with the GAC Compliance Policy (which consists of the GAC Anti- Bribery and Corruption Policy, the GAC Anti- Money Laundering Policy, the GAC Whistleblowing Policy and the GAC Sanctions Policy) and observe the principles contained in the GAC Code of Ethics.
